Myddelton Grange is a massive converted Catholic retreat centre in West Yorkshire. This majestic residence sits near Ilkley with jaw-dropping views of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The accommodation worked great for our Dads 80th birthday hosting a family of 35 people ranging in ages from 8 months to 80 years! It had something for everyone! There were some maintenance issues & the property could do with some shower areas looking at but that didnt stop us from having an amazing time all being together celebrating.

Myself and 42 others stayed at Myddleton Grange for the weekend for my hen do. The facilities are amazing! It was absolutely perfect from start to finish. I would definitely recommend for a large group and we will definitely return given the chance!

We had a fantastic stay here and have already booked it again for next year. The property is exactly as advertised and perfect for a big group. Communications were very good and prompt. While there were some very minor maintenance points raised in other reviews, none are surprising in a house this size and none particularly affected our stay. Many mentioned before have clearly been addressed, such as smells from rooms which we didn't detect any of.

Myddelton Grange worked out as a great place to stay for a group of 25 or so over a week. All the rooms were comfortable and we enjoyed all the facilities including the games room bar, cinema room, chapel and hot tubs and sauna. Its also a beautiful area and views from the property are spectacular. Great walking right out of the driveway, and easy access into Ilkley for shopping train connections. A couple of minor maintenance issues but none that detracted from having a great stay. We would all definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place for a big group or family gathering.

This was our second visit, this time 40 Adults and a 1 year old came to celebrate a 50th birthday and we had a fantastic time! ! Lovely property, in a fantastic spot, great walks and close to the town for pubs and shops etc. Plenty of space, bar area is fantastic for bringing everyone together!! Hot tubs, sauna and cinema room were all well used by us all!! Will definitely be back for a third visit.

This is such a lovely base for large groups. The outdoor scenery and surroundings are lovely. I found the property matched the description online there was a property manager who was very helpful in answering my questions ahead of our stay. I scored slightly lower for Facilities and maintenance only because there was a bit of an unpleasant draintype smell around the bar area, which may need some investigation. But other than that it was great.

Our stay at Myddelton Grange was absolutely perfect for a large family gathering. The property is incredibly spacious, giving everyone plenty of room to relax without ever feeling crowded. One of the highlights has to be the fabulous views over Ilkley truly stunning and a lovely backdrop to the whole weekend. There are also some lovely walks right from the doorstep, and its just a short, scenic walk into Ilkley and to the nearest pub, which was ideal for getting out and about without needing the car. The games room was a huge hit with everyone, especially with its bar and Sky TV, making it a great social space in the evenings. The hot tubs and sauna were very popular with the teens, while the younger children were thoroughly entertained in the playroom and cinema room it really does cater brilliantly for all ages. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, which made catering for our large family so much easier and actually enjoyable rather than stressful. If I had to suggest one small improvement, it would be to add bulbs to the wall lights or include a few more lamps in the lounge, as the main overhead lights are quite harsh. That said, it didnt take away from what was a fantastic stay. We would absolutely return and highly recommend Myddelton Grange for big family gettogethers.

I brought a walking group to Myddelton Grange in January, and it was a fantastic base for our trip. The bedrooms were comfortable and warm, and the shared spaces were perfect for relaxing together after a day out. The kitchen was a real highlight, spacious, very wellequipped, and ideal for selfcatering for a group. There are fabulous walks right on the doorstep, which made planning our days incredibly easy. Any small issues we encountered were sorted out quickly, and communication beforehand was excellent with very responsive, helpful replies. A great place for a group stay.

The house was booked for my 30th birthday weekend, and was fantastic. The facilities were exactly what we needed to house a large group for birthday celebrations. The two social living areas are well comfortable and stylish. The rooms are big and beds were comfortable. We were there in December and the added Christmas decorations were a really lovely touch. This place is absolutely ideal for a massive group booking. We hired this place for a Hen weekend. Very spacious, the views are amazing, especially while in the hot tubs. Everyone had a room with an en suite. 2 large rooms to socialise, one with snooker and pool table and bar. Cinema room to chill, along with a gym. Would highly recommend

It was our second time staying. The whole experience is amazing, it caters well for big groups. I think the place needs an upgrade though as it's very dated. We were also charged after our stay for rips in the snooker table. Those rips are still there 7 months after.

We had a fabulous week at Myddelton grange. The facilities were amazing and extensive and the views are to die for. Adults and children alike had a week to remember Just a few niggles. The smell in the bar and room 7 was very bad by the end of the week drains definitely an issue! The gas ovens dont close properly but the rest of the kitchen was well stocked and worked well. Rather a shortage of pint glasses.

We had a lovely stay would go again there are some maintenance and general upkeep and repairs. That would give it a more luxury feel and experience. Comfy beds, excellent play room and studio, loved the chapel, lot of facilities in the kitchen could do with better pans for oven that fit in. Lovely grounds and space sauna was lovely and two Hottubs. More pool and snooker cues would make that a more enjoyable experience.

Our 2nd stay and wont be our last. We had a fabulous Christmas stay with the whole family. Great location. Clean. Spacious. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen and bar. Would definitely recommend to large groups.

We stayed at Myddleton Grange in November 2024, a big group of 38 friends, all adults, who wanted to enjoy a nice holiday together, having done so in previous years at a different venue. Myddleton Grange was a marked improvement for us, at only a small increase in cost, it was lovely! Everything was very well kept, clean and tidy throughout, and the Gift Basket on our arrival was a nice touch. We loved the two hot tubs and the sauna, they were used frequently every day. When we noticed the water level had dropped we were given quick instructions with how to fill them up with hot water so we did not have to wait for them to get back up to temperature.

Great accommodation for a big party, plenty of bedrooms for everyone. Stunning views over Ilkley. The facilities are great, fully equipped kitchen, except for one of the dishwashers, which was broken which we could have done with having the use with a party of 24. Plenty of fridges. The lift was also not working, which would have been ideal for the elderly guests, great shame! The children aged 3 absolutely loved the play room and the craft room. The beds were comfortable in the en suite bedrooms, some stunning bedrooms. Bar was great with fully size snooker and pool table. Really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub looking out at the views.

The back gardens were beautifully landscaped, providing a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The additional amenities, like hot tubs, the game snooker room , play room, were a huge hit with everyone, especially the kids. If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be the WiFi signal, which was a bit weak in some parts of the house. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise perfect stay. Overall, we had a luxurious and memorable experience at this mansion. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special getaway, and we would love to return in the future. We stayed at Myddleton Grange over the Easter week 2024. It was a multi generational family holiday ranging in age from four years old up to an eighty seven year old. All ages & interests were catered for whether it be relaxing in the hot tub, playing snooker in the games room or watching films in the cinema room, the pop corn machine was a huge hit !The younger children loved the well equipped craft room and the playroom. Despite some bad weather there was plenty to entertain the children & adults at Myddleton Grange . Everybody had a wonderful time & we would highly recommend a stay at Myddleton Grange set in the stunning Yorkshire Dale's. Hayley was extremely helpful with any requests prior to our visit. Feedback for property owner There were a few minor issues 1. The basket ball ring in gym fell off of the wall, despite a maintenance man coming to fix, it promptly fell off when a ball hit the ring. 2. The star gazer machines did not work, we tried all four & tried inserting new batteries in to the remote but none of the machines worked. 3. Room 10 has a constantly dripping shower, there is mould on the ceiling in the wet room and an open tin of paint was also found in there. 4. Room 19 the shower door kept coming off the runners. 5. Room 7 there is a horrible odour possibly from the drains. Although we were not at full capacity , there were 25 of us , we did at times struggle with fitting everything in to the two fridges in the kitchen.

A genuinely stunning, well priced holiday cottage. Can't recommend enough.
