We had a lovely stay at Pickwood Grange. The house is so comfortable with great facilities, especially the kitchen, which had everything we needed plus more! The tv and living space was perfect for watching movies in the evenings, after relaxing in the hot tub. The host David got back to any questions we had very quickly and was flexible with our arrival and departure times. The outside space is a work in progress, and once this is complete, it will add the finishing touches to the property. There's lots to do in the local area, including nice walks from the house. We hope to be back again in the future

What a lovely home. It's not completely finished yet so work still in progress. The views over the valley are beautiful and the enclosed garden is great for dogs. Although if it's wet you have to be carefull on the patio area because there is an area not finished yet and it's very muddy and the dog or dogs will end up in a hell of a mess. It really is lovely place and David the owner cannot do enough for you but he's not intrusive. Not being a young man I did find the chairs in the living room a bit low for me. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of space. We had a slight issue with electrics but David solved the problem quickly and efficiently. I would thoroughly recommend this property and will return.

Great Christmas week with extended family. The house was everything and more than we expected really comfortable, warm, better equipped kitchen than our own and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The views are stunning and it will be amazing when the outside space is completed.

Very well equipped property and to a high standard inside. It was a shame that the outside courtyard giving access to the front door is uneven, muddy and almost a builder's yard, meaning we had to be quite careful getting my elderly mother in and out. We were surprised but delighted that the hot tub was available and ready to use, even with a December booking. Thank you. The road access to the property is along some very narrow roads, though the owner had advised on the best route a few days before arriving which was helpful. We would love to book again and hope that the groundworks can be completed before then.

Pickwood Grange is a very spacious and well equipped property. The rooms are clean and well maintained. David the host was very accommodating and explained all the facilities. We all loved the hot tub and spacious garden. Extra touches of wine and fruit platter were much appreciated.

Property was absolutely fantastic, extremely well equipped, amazing tv in lounge, beautiful location, superb full fruit bowl left for us, great dry room and especially handy for after using the hot tub Shower wasnt particularly hot, but they may have been a user error! My only real slight negative was garden wasnt completely secure for the dogs but I believe that will be rectified as it looked like more work was going to take place

Absolutely stunning property done out to a high standard. We enjoyed our stay, even through storm Amy and will most definitely come back in the near future. We stayed at Pickwood Grange as a family of 6 and our dog. First impressions I was a little disappointed as the outdoor area is still a work in progress and the fully enclosed garden was not the one leading from the patio doors, this did not however effect our stay as our dog is a big dog and the traffic temporary fencing supplied was adequate. I was also disappointed to find the hot tub wasnt ready upon our arrival but I know this can sometimes be the case as due to previous guests this had been emptied a little while earlier. From there on out we had the most amazing time, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need, the huge tv was great, however we did struggle with the WiFi and so streaming was very hit and miss and so we relied on the vast array of dvds supplied. The owners supplied games for us to play and we all loved the very generous fruit basket, wine and lucozades. We found some lovely walks on the doorstep and a lovely pubrestaurant a 6 minute drive away, The Sportsman Inn. The property is huge and my eldest son pretty much had his own wing! We will definitely be returning and Im excited to see how the outdoor space develops and the outdoor shower. Thank you David x ps some throws would be a good addition for getting cosy on the sofa.

We had a lovely stay with family. The accommodation was very clean and spacious for us all. Comfy beds, tv in every room and a lovely large kitchen. Theres still a lot of work to be done outside of the property and will be fantastic when its all finished.

We had a lovely stay ay Pickwood Grange, we were welcomed upon arrival by David who showed us around the property and explain how things worked. The property has a lot to offer and the surroundings are beautiful. I know they are looking to cut down the trees by the decking but it actually felt like we were in a treetop lodge and adds a bit of something special, especially when in the hot tub or just enjoying the last of the days sun. We can see there is work still ongoing to the outdoor space this did not affect our stay and I think additional seating near the grassed part of the property would be great, as you could sit and enjoy the view. We cannot wait to see how the outside of the property turns out once finished. The inside has been planned to a T and is spacious, comfortable and is a lovely place to stay. We do hope that we can return in the future and cannot recommend this property enough.

This is, without a doubt, the best holiday accomodation that we have stayed in. David has supplied everything that we might need, and more. He understood when we were late arriving, and happily showed us around. The children loved the outdoor activities and the hot tub, the chess sets and the video selectionto say nothing of the tvs. We adults really appreciated the cleanliness, the superbly equipped kitchen, the cupboard of 'essential extras' and the 'goodies' that David had so kindly left for us. If only all accomodation was as good as this.

David is such a great host ,he went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. He really has thought of everything. Nothing was too much trouble . The accommodation is first class ,the location is so tranquil . We will definitely return and recommend a visit, particularly if there are any mobility issues among the party .so much apace and all one one level . We wish we could have stayed longer.

Firstly sorry for the delay in leaving our review, we were only the 2nd family to stay here BUT WOW ! What a fantastic property. David went above and beyond from the beginning when he was there to greet us and show us around, to the end to say his goodbyes. Nothing has been overlooked David has thought of everything and more besides. The property is finished to a VERY high standard with every gadget and utensil you could imagine provided.I have never stayed in a property so well equipped.The welcome gifts were very much appreciated. We felt very guilty not being able to finish the mountain of fruit that David had kindly left for us. We loved the massive TV .and all the streaming channels provided. Also the hot tub and bbq were a big hit and most enjoyable after a day out. The garden is still a work in progress but what David has completed is to again to a VERY high standard. We cant wait to return to see it finished. We wish David every success with his holiday home venture. He really has done an amazing job.
