We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here and really appreciated being shown where things were, how things worked and the home made shortbread. Initially we were worried about our dogs barking at the horses but the owners reassured us that they wouldn't frighten them and, after a short while the dogs realised it was nothing to bark at and one of the dogs even enjoyed sitting out in the evenings to just watch the horses. It was the perfect place to relax in the peace and quiet and to be able to explore the Peak District.

Lovely little cottage in a peaceful location. Cottage was really clean and had all the amenities we needed, private gated hot tub. Under floor heating was so nice underfoot although we had to turn ours off as the dog likes a cold floor to lay on. Lovely big super king size bed and comfy bedding! On arrival Katy had left us, homemade shortbread, crisps, milk and a bottle of fizz, lovely little touch! Just a short walk away into the little town of Honley with shops, pubs and little restaurants. Or 10 minute drive into Holmfirth. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing break away!

An absolutely stunning property to stay in! The room and the way it was decorated was just perfect in keeping with the stable theme, the large metal bath was great along with the large walk in shower. Kitchen facilities were perfect for the two of us and easy to use. We couldn't have asked for a better situated place to stay, within walking distance to shops and pubs also close to many walking routes or driving distance to other attractions and locations! 1010 we will be coming back!

If youre looking for a break to unwind I think its perfect . You have local shops , pubs etc 10min walk away . Close but not too close as to impact on the surroundings. My hubby and I had a blast at The Stables. A beautiful place to wake up in, loved the remote controlled skylight blinds. Katy, the owner is an absolute gem, we'll definitely be coming back soon. Hospitality included homemade shortbead which hubby says were delicious and Katy even made glutenfree macaroons which were equally as awesome. The property was very comfortable and cosy. The log burner created the perfect atmosphere in the space. The hottub was lovely to relax in, although a shelter would have been great for rainy days. All in all we had a great stay and will definitely be back very soon.

You will not be disappointed staying here Katie the owner is really friendly and helpful Our stay here was just delightful, we were gifted some home made yummy shortbread biscuits, a large bag of crisps, a bottle of milk and a bottle of cava on arrival, such special added touches to our stay. The property is set in a peaceful location with a dog walk straight out of your door that will take you through a lovely wood. We got to watch a farrier shoeing the horses just outside our window. The copper bath was a really nice feature which we enjoyed having a little soak in, we also enjoyed an evening spent in the hot tub too. Cottage was beautiful, well equipped with more than you would need. So clean, finished to a high standard. So many helpful instructions in a folder. Owners were lovely, very accommodating letting us check in a little early to feed our baby, they let our little boy stroke the horse too. Owners left a nice welcome gift, crisps, cava, homemade shortbread & milk. Hot tub was so relaxing and a nice space to enjoy on an evening one the little one was asleep. Only bit of constructive feedback I can give is maybe a shelter above above the hot tub so it can be used all year around. It didn't bother us as we had dry weather.
