2 The Croft, Skipton

This property is so much more than the photos and descriptions suggest! If I could give higher scores I would! We came for Christmas 9 of us ages ranging from three to 69, and we couldnt have asked for more! The rooms all of them are fabulous. All spotlessly clean, all well furnished. The hot tub is large, deep and lovely. We have stayed in lots of these types of properties but not one has come up to this one! The location is spot on for getting out and about Malham cove stunning, Billy bobs fabulous foodkids play area bowling alley fun then a little further out, Ilkley lovely friendly place. I would love to think that one day we will be back! I have just two tiny suggestions to the owners 1, deeper pocket fitted sheets for the beds which are so comfy and so deep the current bedding isnt deep enough and tends to ping off over night 2, king size duvets on the double beds and a super king duvet on the king size bed. And thats it! Its not a complaint its just what I personally would like. We absolutely loved it.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Croft, the house was amazing, had everything you needed would definitely stay again, holly was so nice and friendly and always at hand to answer any questions I had, Thank you again for the perfect stay.

Lovely big detached home with parking for 3 cars and a really nice hot tub. 5 mins to Skipton or a pleasant 1 mile walk via the canal. Minor point but could do with some tumblers and serving spoons. We have stayed here twice and would do so again.

Wonderful property, with everything we needed. Very spacious and only a few minutes drive from the centre of Skipton. Kids loved the hot tub. Would recommend this property to anyone.

Great place to stay had everything we needed . 10 adults and loads of space to be comfortable. We loved the house and will defo visit again. The owner recommended a great bar pizza place and we loved it there and they had live entertainment and only a short walk away . We also walked into skipton 30 minutes and if not walking the taxi was 5 . The place was quiet and the garden area was just lovely

This is an absolutely beautiful house with everything you could need! We really enjoyed our stay despite the rain, the facilities were great and everywhere was clean and well maintained. Communication with the owner was always speedy and pleasant, would recommend to everyone!

This was our second stay at this lovely property. It is a great property in a great village near Skipton with everything accessible nearby. Modern and comfortable, it suits our family well and everyone enjoyed their stay. Thank you, we have already booked for next year!

Hot tub needs clearing very overgrown and would suggest over top covercanopy Garden overgrown especially summer house so we did not use either Better welcome pack especially highlight Robertshaws as so local and amazing Perhaps a voucher or discount code? ? An amazing property. Spacious and stylish with a stunning private garden. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and a fab hot tub to relax at the end of the day. We would highly recommend this property. Lovely way to chill in a large group.

Our stay at 2 The Croft was magical. Set a few minutes from Skipton in the little hamlet of Stirton it's a quiet & peaceful location with a tranquil and private garden. It feels rural but you're only a few minutes from the main town and major travel routes. The house was great with plenty of bedrooms for our family of 8 including my elderly mum, 3 of our sons, our daughter & her husband. Our youngest son is non verbal autistic and the house worked well for him, especially the hot tub! There was a few welcome treats on our arrival including tea, coffee & milk and amazing parkin biscuits which meant we could chill with a cup of tea after our journey before our larger preordered grocery delivery arrived. The large kitchen table was perfect and there was plenty of kitchen equipment to make meals & serve 8 of us. At home we don't have room for a dishwasher so that was a real blessing & tablets were provided for it! If I could add a couple of suggestions a large colander to drain pasta, a large water jug for the table & a serving tray would be useful. We had visitors on one day & had to carry drinks, teacoffee pots etc outside two at a time so a tray would be useful but this is a minor point. The main living area had plenty of space for us to relax and chill out as a family and there is an added large snug so everyone can spread out. Downstairs there are 3 bedrooms. A large king with an ensuite bathroom and two smaller singles. Upstairs there are 3 large double rooms, 2 with ensuites & a separate shower room. The beds, mattresses and bedding were all top quality and incredibly comfortable. The best part of the upstairs rear bedrooms and the shower room was the views. Stunning views out across the fields and at night we stood in the shower room with the window wide open star gazing! It was breathtaking. The garden is secluded and tranquil. I sat in the early morning, before anyone else was up, enjoying a coffee and listening to the local birds sing. If you want to know what birds you can hear I recommend the free Merlin app. The garden furniture was comfortable and ample for us all. The hidden summer house at the bottom of the garden was an oasis of calm. The perfect place to have a coffee and read a book in total peace. A small stool or table in here would be a good addition for somewhere to put your coffee cup but the sofa was comfortable & there's a heater if it's a chilly day. The hot tub was, of course, a big hit! Even my son who wouldn't take swim shorts cause he said hot tubs aren't my thing ended up borrowing his brother's shorts and he's now a convert! Someone came to check the water on day 3 but I think perhaps it needs more regular checks for waterchemical levels. A handy net to scoop out falling leaves and bugs would also be useful. The area itself is so pretty. Skipton on market day was bustling and we enjoyed a canal trip and some amazing ice cream! I took my mum to Settle on market day Tuesday to reminisce as she used to visit a dear friend there who has now passed away. This was the main reason for booking a home in this area. It was an emotional day out but my mum was so thankful to visit places she had enjoyed with her friend Violet. We took a trip out to Grassington. A lovely village famous now for the filming of All Creatures Great & Small. Many more independent shops there than we expected. A lovely little folk museum, incredible bakery and tea room. We parked at the visitor center and got lots of information about the area from the lovely, helpful staff. After that we went to Coldstone cuts. A small parking area and a walk up a small hill leads you to a spectacular viewpoint across the Dales. Kids will love it. So much more I could recommend in the area. Billy Bob's ice cream parlor is not to be missed! Efendy for fabulous Turkish food and Bizzie Lizzie's for traditional fish & chips. Robertshaws farm shop is a short drive or walk from the property and has a wide range of fresh produce, meat and bakery items as well as a lovely cafe & gifts selection. We had the best week at 2 The Croft and it was a wrench to say goodbye! We would love to visit again but as my mum's had some health issues over the past few months and her mobility has become more restricted we've realized we need a ground floor double bedroom with a lower bed and a walk in shower rather than a shower over a bath. At the time of booking her mobility was much better and this is just unfortunate personal circumstances because the property is incredible and one of the most wonderful places we've ever stayed. A well appointed and equipped house. Spacious and modern. It is in a small village with easy access to Skipton and area. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

A lovely property in a beautiful location, very spacious is a lot bigger inside than it appears from the outside. Holly was very nice and friendly and thanks for the milk and orange juice. Made our stay there for our son's wedding perfect. Would highly recommend this property.

A wonderful place to stay, the accommodation was perfect for our group of 9,. Modern and clean had no issues or negatives. We walked into skipton which was one and a half miles away which was lovely. Would highly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful stay and the house was just as we expected in fact, it was even lovelier than we hoped! Holly was very helpful and called me to let me know that the patio was rather icy just before we arrived and when we couldn't find a cork screw, she organised for one to be dropped off, which was very much appreciated. The kitchen has just about everything in it that you need to cook a meal, with lots of crockery and glasses etc, including plastic cups for the hot tub. The house was spotless with very comfortable beds and luxurious bed linen. We would definitely be more than happy to come back again.

Plenty of space for the 6 adults in our party. Property well maintained & very clean. Found it a little strange that the large TV was in the small snug & a quite small one in the main seating area. Having stayed numerous times in different rented properties over the years this was the first one with no Welcome pack. Would definitely recommend this property to friends & family, lovely quiet location only 1.5 miles 5 mins by car into Skipton.

The property was amazing, we had a really good time in family. Very cozy place, beds are comfortable and plenty of room for everyone. There was no essentials hand soap, cooking oil.. which has been mentioned on previous comments but not amended. There were no bin bags either but they solved this as soon as we notified it so they are attentive and responding to feed back. Totally recommended!

8 of us stayed in this property from 13th 20th July this year and cannot find the words to describe what an amazing time we had. The garden and summer house are so tranquil and relaxing with a view of the beautiful countryside my partner actually proposed with this being the back ground on our first day. The house is huge, all facilities were of a high standard, the beds were so comfy I could have stayed there all week. It's only a 40 minute walk or 5 minute drive into town. We had a call to prewarn us that the hot tub maintance man and the window cleaner were coming, so we were kept up to date the entire trip. Thank you for an unforgettable adventure

The Croft was a beautifully clean holiday home. It was ideally placed close to Skipton and surrounding areas.Have to say we were disappointed with the lack of instructions for the electric oven being used to a gas oven at home but we didn't let it spoil our overall enjoyment.

A beautiful property, spotlessly clean and well presented. Plenty of room for a large family get together with a lovely big dining table and a bathroom each. Great garden and hot tub. Near enough to Skipton to get a couple of takeaway meals and visit the supermarket. Convenient for childrens playground and walks in the Dales.

This cottage is lovely and comfortable as described. There was an issue with the water quality caused by domestic water being supplied from natural source which was quite discoloured at times after rain storms. We bought bottled water for drinking. We were surprised to find a lack of what could be regarded as kitchen essentials ie foil, cling film, cooking oil etc. there was not enough dishwasher tabs, bin liners etc supplied and no information at all about recycling. The toilet at the top of the stairs often runs with water after flushing and needs attention. Although there are lovely wine glasses, it could really do with beer glasses and small spirit glasses too.

Ideally situated, a lovely property, everything has been done to a very high standard as are the facilities. Lovely and spacious . Beds are very comfortable . immaculately clean. overall a beautiful property and we would highly recommend.

We stayed at 2 The Croft as a family of 7 and it was perfect. The Croft is beautiful and spacious and the location is great. We did not want to leave at the end of our stay. We had all we needed in the property, the beds were very comfortable and everyone from the young to the old were catered for. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay.

Fabulous property perfect for a family gettogether. It would have been helpful to have the instructions for the heating but it didnt spoil our stay!

Great place high standard of accommodation. Responsive hosts and quiet and tranquil setting. Only issue is WiFi signal to main TV in snug is intermittent. Other than that great place well laid out with ample accommodation for large groups.

We loved the high tech house and enjoyed ourrainy time there. It was very spacious, warm, comfortable and well equipped although we could have done with more crockery to make dishwasher use more efficient. We slowly learned how to use all the electronics heating, lighting, TV but more instructions would have been useful. The hamlet was a delight and there was lots to do in the area for those over 70, those under 8, and those in between.

Our family enjoyed their week at this holiday home. The house on the whole was spacious and comfortable with lots of natural light and quality appliances.The area is beautiful and Skipton is a very pleasant town to visit with regular outdoor markets and plenty of places to eat. The one problem we experienced was with the large TV in the snug, which had no, or at best, intermitant internet access.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. It felt very homely. Lots of space for 9 of us. We had everything we needed for a weeks stay. Kitchen was very well equipped, beds are very comfortable. All Cleaned to a very high standard. The garden is beautiful and it was lovely to sit and watch all the wildlife.

Overall very good A few issues which could of made it better No fire lighter matches logs for the log burner. Hot tub no canopy or any facilities to hang towels etc Temperature was not hot enough definitely not 36 degrees TV Ariel is a must, it was very frustrating to use. Otherwise lovely stay

It was a fantastic property. Very high standard. Beautiful garden and the house is superb. We did find it a bit odd that the hottub has a CCTV camera right next to it. Not enough small glasses, and no plastic glassescups for kids.

Lovely cottage. 9 of us went only 9 cups more would have been better so we didnt have to wash up all the time . Glasses very large smaller ones would have been nice as well . Television could not understand how to work , and only 8 chairs instead of 9 round table . Overall lovely cottage would come back again .

Lovely property but for the price paid we felt a bit short changed on the overall experience Spending nearly a thousand pounds and still no milk, bread, basic welcome pack, needs soaps upstairs, tea towels utensils for the bbq etc etc etc TVs are a mystery how to operate at times and just frustrating when you have small children wanting to watch something Superb quality of finish but would return if these small improvements were made P. S. neighbour next door very friendly and helpful
