We had a lovely stay at The Folly. Its in the perfect location with beautiful scenery and lots of great walks. We walked into Grassington in about 20 minutes and it was a really scenic route, with plenty of shops, cafs and pubs once you get there. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed, including towel robes for after using the hot tub. The hot tub was spacious and very relaxing, especially at night when we were lucky enough to have clear skies and could see the stars. Theres a great pub The Fountaine Inn just across the road with lovely food, which is very convenient. The Folly is also a brilliant base for exploring the gorgeous surrounding area, we managed to visit Grassington, Harrogate and Pateley Bridge during our stay. The owners were really friendly and helpful and made sure everything was perfect during our stay. Overall, The Folly is a perfect, relaxing getaway and wed definitely recommend it!

It is a very well thought out property. A place for everything. Two of us and our dog. Spotless and nice touches too, dressing gowns, dog bowl and mat. Milk in the fridge really good bedding excellent duvet and very comfy pillows. There is also a cupboard outside for your muddy boots. Chris and Sally are very welcoming, Sally showed us around and went through a few things. We did not see them much after thst but they are on hand if you have any queries and answer very quickly. We had to change our dates and it was no problem to them they are very easy to deal with. It's in a fabulous spot great views from the windows, with walks to Grassington and Burnsall nearby. The hot tub was fab lovely on a clear night to see all the stars really enjoyed that. The Fountaine Inn a couple of mins away is very cosy with a roaring fire , lovely food and they are very friendly highly recommend.

A lovely place to stay in a beautiful village in Yorkshire. The conversion has been very cleverly considered, which the owner is rightly very proud of. Although a small space there was room for everything, it was very clean and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. We had a slight issue with the heating going off I didnt want to bother the owner but Chris was very helpful and sorted for us. Thanks we will add you to our list for future stays.

Weve just returned from a fantastic long weekend at The Folly, property was spotlessly clean , with a modern interior, and everything was top quality, comfiest bed, loveliest shower, hot tub to temperature , its amazing what Chris and Sally have done with the space theyve made it so homely too, everything you need and they were fantastic hosts. We were greeted on arrival, shown around, given all the information we needed, nothing was too much trouble , we will definitely be returning. Location is fantastic with beautiful views and walks on your doorstep, i would recommend to any couple looking to book in this area. Fabulous

The accommodation was exceptionally clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed for our stay. On arrival we were met by the owner who showed us how to operate the hot tub. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of towels were provided, including dressing gowns. The hot tub was very clean and was upto temperature even on the 1st night. I would definitely recommend this property. In an ideal beautiful location for walking or visiting the local pub just down the lane.

When we first arrived at The Folly, we realised it was exactly like the photos on the Sykes website. The property was absolutely pristine. The hosts had supplied little touches, coffee, tea, sugar and milk, also cleaning products and tea towels. There were towels and bath robes too. The Folly is in an idyllic village of Linton. We had a wonderful stay.

Came here for a five night break in late September having already been four nights near York. First impressions were good and it just kept on getting better from there really. A clean and modern looking interior, and yet somehow quite a homely feel to it as well. No easy thing to accomplish with such a limited floor space, but the owners have made some clever decisions about what to include here. The highlights for us were the hot tub every evening the weather would allow and the coffee table with the top that raised to a comfortable height for TV dinners. Don't forget the views either. Every window framed another picture of typically lovely Yorkshire countryside. Would absolutely recommend this to any couple looking to explore the area. Just leave a week free for us to come back too!!

Excellent location and private, great for a relaxing break

Just back from a perfect stay at the Folly in Linton, l can only describe this place as a little bit of heaven, the accommodation is perfect, spotless with everything you need. Sitting in the hot tub at night with a glass of bubbly was perfection ,it is so peaceful and quiet, hosts are very welcoming and helpful we had our dog with us, she loved all the walks , if l could give this 10 stars l would , we will definitely come back one day. Ate out at the Fountainne Inn which is just over a little bridge , food really nice , walked to Grassington twice which takes about 20 mins through Linton falls , had food at the black horse which was lovely, also the Devonshire armsnot so keen but ok the Corner Cafe for breakfast is not to be missed , went to Bolton Abbey, great circular walk with a dog, took about 2 12 hours , also Grimwith reservoir is a great 2 hour walk, this little accommodation is a hidden gem not to be missed.

What a fabulous stay! Everything within the Folly is top quality and well thought out to make the most of the space whilst providing for your every need. Chris and Sally are the perfect hosts, making sure you have everything you need and offering great advice on things to do in the local area. The bed is super comfortable! There are lovely walks right out of the door, and the Fountaine Arms is a short walk over the bridge, and serves lovely food. Given it was a week in March, the weather was very good, and the Folly remained warm and cosy for evenings spent relaxing after busy days. The hot tub is a great way to ease any aches and pains. Waking in the morning and looking out on the new born lambs was a real treat. We highly recommend staying here, and will return to explore more of the glory of the Yorkshire Dales.

Had a really great stay at The Folly. Wonderful location for walking, countryside views and the pub literally across the green. Linton is a picture perfect village. The Folly itself is as described, it's a compact space that has been cleverly designed, and was fine for 2 of us and a dog. Great to have the hot tub, and the owners were lovely and keep the place immaculate. Quality decor and furnishings, and bed sofa is super comfy too. We absolutely loved our stay at the Folly. Everything was perfect. We commented on how lovely the interiors were, how well equipped it was and how it was done to such a lovely spec. It was such a perfect location for a quick drink or lovely roast at the pub, as well as some beautiful walks. We had a bit of trouble with the hottub our own fault, and you could not have been more accommodating, something that not many other owners would have done for guests. Our stay was fabulous. We have not visited Yorkshire before and we found it amazing. Linton village particularly was beautiful. The hot tub was a great addition to the stay. We both commented on the absolute peace of the location with zero noise pollution. The Folly was slightly smaller than the photos indicated but it was still a lovely accommodation. The bed was amazingly comfortable, even my husband agreed, and that is something rare!!

Great little place, very cosy during our stay which was minus degrees and frosty outdoors. The decor is very neutral and felt modern yet cottagie. The bed was very comfortable and the place was immaculately clean. Some great walks to Burnsall and Conistone via the falls. Not too far to walk into the beautiful little village of Grassington but if you cant manage the walk, Linton is very picturesque and the Fountaine pub is great for food and decent beers.
